The Gibraltar Financial Services Commission (“GFSC”) is issuing this public warning regarding the website https://tourbillonwealthmanagers.com/.
The website falsely uses the address of the genuine registered company in Gibraltar, Tourbillon Limited which was formerly an investment services firm authorised by the GFSC to provide life assurance intermediary, investment advisor and pension advisor services until the 31 January 2022. This appears to be a ‘clone company / website’, in that they offer investment services on their website using the company name and address of Tourbillon Limited, the company registered in Gibraltar.
Companies and individuals carrying out financial service activities in Gibraltar must be authorised by the GFSC. The suspected clone, Tourbillon Wealth Managers, is not authorised by the GFSC, nor is an application pending forauthorisation at present and this suspected clone company is targeting consumers.
In addition, Tourbillon Limited, the genuine company registered in Gibraltar no longer holds any permissions from the GFSC.
You can find out more about how to avoid fraud and scams in our consumer guide here.
