Stakeholder Perspective
- Correspondence - Writes comprehensive and accurate letters, memos and
reports.

Internal Perspective
Application Processes
- Gives thorough consideration to applications received by the Division.
- Follows up, promptly, matters which require clarification.
- Is an active contributor to the preparation of an assessment of
applications including ensuring that fit and proper checks on key
individuals are carried out diligently.
- Prepares application recommendation paper for the Chief Executive’s
Committee.
FSC Databases
- Ensures that the applicable databases used by the FSC are accurate and
maintained/updated in a timely and accurate manner.
- Processing of Supervisory Chases, processes, analyses and follows-up
submission by regulated firms of FSC Returns returns in a timely
manner.
- Interfaces with the regulated firm to clarify or correct errors or
issues arising in an effective and professional manner.
- Compiles accurate and meaningful reports summarising issues arising from
returns or information received.
- Promptly informs the Head of Division (or Manager) of late or missing
returns.
Prudential Requirements
- Effectively monitors that regulated firms comply with prudential
requirements through the examination of returns and financial statements and
measures the impact of these upon the market.
- Intervenes, where necessary, whenever a breach in the regulatory
requirements by a regulated firm has occurred and takes appropriate
corrective action or recommends enforcement action.
Risk Assessment Processes
- Carries out the programme of risk assessments for the
Division including review of the Firms risk assessment questionnaires,
planning for on-site work and writing of preliminary assessment of risk
assessment in accordance with the organisation's objectives and
methodologies.
- Collates and analyses the risk assessment questionnaires and conducts
preliminary risk assessment including, on-site action plan, risk areas
and possible mitigation action in a timely manner and dedicates the
resources necessary to conduct this efficiently.
- Collaborates with the Head of Division in preparing the formal
assessment of the firm, including drafting of initial and formal risk
feedback letter.

processes which are specific to their own Divisions.
- Cross Training (Outwards) Participates and contributes to the work of other
Divisions.

applicable to the regulated firms within the Division’s responsibilities.
