It is important for all firms to assess the impact that Brexit will have on their business and to implement any necessary changes. Firms should:
- Consider what and how information should be provided to consumers. Information should be provided in a way which is clear, fair and not misleading.
- Firms that operate cross-border should discuss implications for their business with the relevant EEA regulator(s) in the event of a no-deal Brexit.
The European Commission, European Supervisory Authorities and certain member states/National Competent Authorities have published notices highlighting the implications of a no-deal Brexit. Some have also provided for their own Temporary Permissions Regime and national legislation to mitigate the effects of a no-deal Brexit.
