Following amendment to legislation on 9th October 2008 the Financial Services
Commission assumed responsibility for licensing and supervising Bureaux de
Change and Money Transmitters.
This change requires all Bureaux and Money Transmitters to lodge an
application for a licence with the FSC if they wish to continue trading. The FSC
would like to remind existing businesses that the deadline for this is Monday
23rd February 2009.
Firms should note that they will not be able to continue trading unless they
are in possession of a provisional licence which will be issued on receipt of
such an application.
