The Financial Services Commission has today issued a warning to the public regarding The Alternative Investment Group, an entity claiming to operate from an address in Gibraltar.
The FSC has received information that indicates that The Alternative Investment Group may be carrying on investment business in or from within Gibraltar.
The Alternative Investment Group is not regulated by the FSC, or licensed under the Financial Services (Investment & Fiduciary Services) Act 1989, or the Financial Services (Markets in Financial Instruments) Act 2006, to carry on investment business in or from within Gibraltar.
The Alternative Investment Group is not a Gibraltar registered company.
The FSC therefore urges the public to exercise appropriate caution in respect of
this entity, whilst it continues its investigations.
