Reincarnation Bank

The Financial Services Commission has today issued a warning to the public regarding Reincarnation Bank. This entity has been operating a website on which it claims to be "a banking facility for all believers of Reincarnation. The Bank offers a safe and secure management system for its clients a place they can leave behind their assets and commodities for the return into their next life."

Reincarnation Bank is not regulated by the FSC, or licensed under the Financial Services (Banking) Act or any other Supervisory Acts to carry on deposit taking or any other financial services business in or from within Gibraltar.

The FSC has also acted swiftly in order to obtain an injunction in the Supreme Court of Gibraltar. That injunction was obtained on 6th January 2010 and requires the Defendant to take all steps necessary to suspend access by the public to the website www.reincarnationbank.com and also prohibits 2i Limited trading as Reincarnation bank from:

  1. Undertaking business by use of the name “Reincarnation Bank” or from using, operating, assigning or transferring the website www.reincarnationbank.com
  2. Disposing or otherwise dealing with assets within its custody or power or control

The FSC therefore urges the public to exercise appropriate caution in respect of this entity, whilst it continues its investigations.
