Misuse of FSC Name and Logo

The Financial Services Commission would like to alert members of the public with regards to its name and logo being used on a forged "Insurance Policy Bond Certificate".

A copy of such a document has been sent to the FSC, on which it is stated that the recipient has been issued with a bond certificate policy checked under the FSC's insurance coverage. The cheque covered by this policy is claimed to be a winning lottery ticket to the value of £800,000.

The FSC has, of course, never issued such a document, which has clearly been designed with intent to defraud and would strongly advise recipients not to reply to such emails and to either delete the email or to block any further emails from the sender.

Any persons who have received an email containing a suspicious reference to the FSC and have concerns, should contact the Manager, Fiduciary Services and Enforcement on +350 200 40283 or by e-mail to enforcement@fsc.gi.
