The Financial Services Commission has today issued a public warning regarding Portland Services Limited, a company incorporated in the Republic of the Seychelles, believed to be operating from offices in Spain, yet using a Gibraltar office address, PO Box, telephone and fax numbers as its only contact details.
The FSC has advised that the overall content of a website operated by this company, may give visitors to the site the impression that it is a Company Manager and may therefore be holding itself out as carrying on activities such as company administration or formation without the requisite authorisation.
Portland Services Limited has never been regulated by the FSC, or licensed under the Financial Services (Investment & Fiduciary Services) Act.
The FSC therefore urges regulated firms and the public to exercise appropriate caution in respect of this entity.
