The Financial Services Commission recently issued a warning to the public regarding Hamiltons Financial Services SL, following the latter's placing of an advertisement in a Gibraltar publication, in which it appears to promote deposit-taking and investment services in Gibraltar.
Hamiltons Financial Services SL has never been regulated by the FSC, or licensed to carry on deposit-taking or investment business in or from within Gibraltar.
Enquiries conducted by the FSC suggest that Hamiltons Financial Services SL is based in Spain. Attempts by the FSC to contact the firm had until very recently been unsuccessful.
However, Hamiltons Financial Services SL have now made contact with the FSC, and assured it that it is not undertaking licensable activity in Gibraltar and has withdrawn any future advertising of its services in Gibraltar.
