On 24 November 2006, the Financial Services Commission issued a warning to the public regarding an entity calling itself "Protectapet" / The European Pet Healthcare Management Organisation SL, which previously claimed to be authorised to carry on insurance mediation business in Gibraltar without holding such authorisation.
Following FSC enforcement action, Protectapet has regularised its position and we can now confirm that Alms Group Limited has passported its IMD Outward Service authorisation to Gibraltar as of 9 February 2007.
Protectapet is listed on the Financial Services Authority (UK) Register as an Appointed Representative of Alms Group Limited.
The Financial Services Authority is therefore Alms Group Limited's / Protectapet's home regulator and therefore any enquiries regarding this firm should be directed to it.
People are also able to verify whether a firm is licensed by the FSC by checking our "Regulated Entities" section on our website. The FSA's Register can be accessed at http://www.fsa.gov.uk/pages/register
